At the Last Minute
Some people need to wait until the
last minute to complete things, last
minute to study for a test. The last
day to prepare for an important
event. I have known people to say "I
do my best work at the last moment".
If you are one of the many people who
wait until the LAST MINUTE, I would
like to remind you that we are fast
approaching the end of the year and
you are nearing the last minute once
again. You have less then 45 days to
complete any goal or resolution you
set forth at the top of the year. For
some of you, taking some time to ask
the following questions might be a
helpful exercise.
How much revenue can I generate now,
if I complete the projects I placed
on my list at the beginning of the
year? If I start on these projects
now, even if I don't complete them
before the end of the year, how much
revenue will be generated next year
as a result of my action today? It's
not always the brain storming ideas,
or great marketing plans, or even the
spectacular sales strategies that
makes a business succeed. Often the
success comes from persistence. It
comes from not giving up; the art of
seeing a project through creates that
moment of victory.
Successful business owners and
entrepreneurs in any industry will
tell you that creating a venture is
the fun part of the game. They call
that vision. Seeing a project through
is how you WIN the game. They call
that skill. Not all of your great
plans and projects will ever make a
million dollars, but the true joy is
the journey, and perseverance will
create fulfillment.
Yes, it is the journey that matters,
and the better you are at navigating
through it to its completion, the
better equipped you will be when
preparing for the next one. So if
cramming in the year 2002
is what you did best, then let's get
going, because less then 45 days is
all the time you have left!
"Nothing is so fatiguing as the
hanging on of an uncompleted task"-

The Integrity game |
 |
"If you've got some lingering stuff
that needs to be done, communicated
or handled by the year 2002, join us
in a game we call the "Integrity
Day Game." Call in at 12noon, and
8:00PM EST EVERY FRIDAY IN
NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER, share what
you're going to handle (or start if
it's a real biggie) during the last
45 days of the year, (we share for
about 30 minutes) and then call back
Each week and share what you got
done, to the cheers of the crowd on
the phone. It may sound corny, but
it works, and it's fun. And it's a
great way to learn how to offer this
type of high-value-added to clients
or the public! And it's free. You
may call in at any of the times
listed, or call in for both times.
Our final call is Thursday December
26th at 8:PM. It will be a fun
adventure and a great way to get
through the last minute Holiday
crunch time.

How's your Health? |
 |
|
How many of you want to commit to
your health and exercise routine? Do
you find yourself starting each new
year with the resolution that you
will exercise more, but unfortunately
find yourself in late fall never
having stuck with the commitment that
was so earnest and seemingly
intentional at the New Year? The
expensive equipment you got for
Christmas sits unused, and the gym
membership has become a
monthly "donation" to a facility that
never gets used. Having a life coach
on your side to support, encourage
and motivate you as well as keep you
accountable is one way you can
finally stick to that resolution. But
keep in mind, it all comes down to
making that commitment to yourself
FIRST. It is not about "wishing" you
could commit to exercise; it is all
about your commitment and your daily
moment-to-moment choice you practice
which will support that commitment.
It is about discovering and accepting
the role that exercise can play a
positive role in your life.
Whether it is January 1st or November
1st, how do you start this process?
First, accept the simple truth about
yourself and where your strength and
weaknesses lie in this area. Next,
ask yourself these specific questions
to help focus and determine your
goals:
1. What is it you really want
from exercise?
2. What will it feel like when
you implement a regular exercise
program?
3. What are you willing to
COMMIT to? (Example: "I will
exercise four days a week; two of
those days with aerobic exercise for
at least 1/2 an hour; the other two
days with 45 minutes of weight
training.)
4. What method of progress and
accountability would best fit your
needs and motivate you? (by weight,
inches, heart rate, endurance,
frequency and or maintenance?)
5. By when do you want to reach
what? (Example: "By December 1st, I
will have lost 5 pounds" or "By
December 1st, I will have lost 2"
from my waist line".)
When I work with others I help them
discover what possibly might be
holding them back from exercise as
well as the multitude of benefits it
provides them. They are enthused at
the results it creates physically and
emotionally and how it surprisingly
empowers them in other areas of their
life, providing more confidence and
energy to take control. You may or
may not see outward physical results
immediately, but I guarantee you will
feel the internal and emotional
strength after your first week! If
you are someone who wants to put
exercise into your life, to accept
that the only one responsible for
your precious body is YOU, then give
me a call or contact me via email.
Rather than viewing that you are
starting late this year with your
exercise commitment, create the
perspective that you are getting a
jump on 2003!

SPREAD THE WORD |
 |
Do you know any one interested
in the field of coaching? Would you
like to know more about" Coaching as
your next career"?
Please spread the word-In the month
of December I
will be offering a Free 5 Day
workshop designed to give you clarity
on the coaching industry and to help
you answer questions about coaching
and how to get started.
This is what one participant had to
say about the 5 Day workshop:
The five-day program introduced me to
coaching, its possibilities and how
to pursue a career in coaching. The
information was presented in a
thorough and easy to understand way.
The teleclasses gave us the
opportunity to interact, ask
questions and hear other people's
ideas, concerns, questions and
feedback. I came away with a solid
foundation from which to make
decisions and move forward with my
career. The program is excellent and
Candye enhances the process with her
energy, enthusiasm, support,
acknowledgement and professionalism.
I highly recommend the five-day
program for anyone considering
becoming a coach.
